It's All a Bunch of Horse Shit: Confessions of an Ex-Voter

Written by Adam Sheets on . Posted in Articles - Rants

I don't watch much TV but I'm already seeing it. And it's only May. I'm referring to the constant assault of political advertisements that go a long way towards prohibiting our enjoyment of television and radio programming.

Interestingly, the only ads I've seen thus far are for President Obama. While I'm sure that people who watch more TV than myself or those who are located in other areas of the nation may be seeing Romney ads, the thing that shocks me the most is that seven months prior to the election, the President of the United States has apparently fulfilled his Constitutional duties as our Chief Executive, solved all of our nation's problems and is now free to devote all of his time to filming fucking commercials.

I guess it's time to back up a little bit and explain my history as a voter. Public confession of sin is never an easy task. Nevertheless, in this case I feel that doing so is my duty and I hope that by confessing I may prevent others from following in my footsteps.

In November of 2008, I played a part in destroying this nation when I stepped into the voting booth. Although the particulars of the case and the individual I voted for are of no relevance to my crime, I feel safe telling you that it was Barack Obama. However, I would have been equally guilty had I penciled in the circle next to Senator McCain's name.

I now feel that for now and the foreseeable future, voting is a morally reprehensible act and that both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, as well as the parties they represent are guilty of treason against the United States of America.

I will get into my reasoning for that last statement in a minute, but first allow me explain the circumstances under which I would feel comfortable voting. I do plan to vote in November in the local and statewide elections. However, I will be leaving the space for the Presidential election blank unless there is a massive overhaul of the electoral college system and a viable third party candidate who actually has a chance of winning and will stand for the people instead of the corporations and the military industrial complex. Oh wait, the Supreme Court said that corporations are people and can make unlimited campaign contributions. Can there be any question now that the unregulated monopolies and taxpayer-supported welfare recipient banks now officially own both sides? I guess we're fucked worse than I thought.

But I'm getting off subject. I wanted to explain why both Obama and Romney are traitors.

Obama, as many of you know, has made public molestation and sexual harassment legal by strengthening the Gestapo tactics by the TSA at our airports. It was recently admitted that a defrocked Catholic priest who had admitted to molesting three children is now the head of the TSA at the Philadelphia airport.

You may also remember that Obama has allowed for indefinite detention of American citizens without due process. (See the National Defense Authorization Act). I guess the test subject for that is Pvt. Bradley Manning, a legitimate American hero who has been bound and tortured for over a year now for doing nothing more than revealing the truth to the American people.

But the final straw comes with the alleged death of Osama bin Laden last year. Since bin Laden had been pronounced dead by sources all over the Middle East in 2002, the raid took place in Pakistan, no photographs were released of the body and the body was later buried at sea (in a method that goes against Muslim burial rituals, despite what the official story says), and those who took part in the raid are yet to be identified, it can only be assumed that the raid was a PR stunt for Obama's campaign, that our nation is involved in a covert war against Pakistan, and that Obama and all other public officials who have repeated this story without documentation are guilty of treason.

Not to mention the media, who fucked this story up worse than any time since 1963 when Lee Harvey Oswald was apparently tried and convicted in the offices of the New York Times and later when the Warren Commission was wholeheartedly accepted without question or qualm.

And do I even have to mention all of Obama's broken campaign promises?

Which brings us to Romney, the stereotypical, uncharismatic, Ivy League douchebag. This is one of those motherfuckers who has never held a real job in his life and instead made money with his money. He's one of the Wall Street types who destroyed our economy and then expected us to pay the bill. That alone is enough to make anyone question his credentials, but his act of treason came when he invested all of his money overseas in offshore banks, thus displaying a lack of faith in the United States. It's true that this practice isn't illegal and since Wall Street owns Washington it probably will never be. But that doesn't change the fact that it should be.

Here's the bottom line: regardless of who gets elected in November, we will be at war with Iran by this time next year. Regardless of who gets elected President you will be publicly raped by government scumbags at airports. No matter who wins, the President and his thugs can arrest you and hold you indefinitely for no reason whatsoever. Regardless of who wins, corporations and there agendas will take precedent over the American people.

So don't look at both of them and choose the one who looks better or who is going to say the right things to get your vote. Don't go in pretending you're going to change a damn thing. Don't act like you made a difference or that you're vote even mattered. In a close election like this one is shaping up to be, it's likely that the winner of the popular vote will lose the election anyway if the Supreme Court and the electoral college so choose. Don't pick the lesser of two evils. Instead realize that they are the same motherfucker and help fight the corrupted system that allowed them to reach the highest level of government.

"Regardless of who gets elected President you will be publicly raped by government scumbags at airports." Come-on pal, the article was okay until then. My mother works in TSA and she is a decent human being!
